About IAFOTs
The International Association of Focusing-Oriented Therapists is a worldwide group of Certified FOTs who together are working to make Focusing-oriented psychotherapy more accessible to clients by offering training in FOT to new and experienced psychotherapists, counsellors and psychologists. This website also brings our work directly to clients who might want to refer themselves to a FOT for their own personal therapeutic work, face-to-face or through online apps such as Skype. Our members are highly experienced teachers of FOT and/or therapists who have completed a specialist training to certification level. Each FOT abides by the requirements for professional (for eg. psychotherapy, counselling or psychology) registration in their own jurisdiction. If you have completed FOT training and meet these criteria, we welcome you to join IAFOTs and to list your practice and teaching details on our site. IAFOTs cannot take responsibility for the clinical work of specific members and any questions or queries should be directed to a therapist’s respective professional bodies.Â
